The Panther Press Mission Statement 2023-24

Our mission is to inform Saegertown Jr./Sr. High School and the community through our publication and digital media. We aim to publish eight issues this year with the goal of expanding our audience and engaging in more school spirit. We are excited to continue to inform the public in accordance with our bylaws.
What is The Panther Press?
- The official newsmedia of Saegertown Jr. Sr. High School (The Panther Press) has been established as a forum for student expression and a voice in free and open discussion of issues since 2006.
- The Panther Press and its staff are bound to the principles of the First Amendment and other protections and limitations afforded by the Constitution and the various court decisions implementing those principles with regard to high school journalism.
- The Panther Press will follow the tenets and policies of the Pennsylvania School Code, the PENNCREST School Board, and the NSPA Code of Ethics
